How Do I Get Started?

There will be an initial free consultation to meet your trainer. You will discuss your stage of pregnancy if relevant, and your personal aims and goals. All this can be done in the comfort of your own home.

At the consultation the physically fit trainer will:-

  1. Appraise your medical history and previous exercise regime
  2. Set out your personal targets depending on your stage of pregnancy
  3. Carry out a medical screening which will involve height, weight, resting heart rate and blood pressure. This will also help determine at what level you should begin exercising
  4. Discuss lifestyle habits and behavioural change

The Training session

After the consultation, the trainer will compile a programme that is tailored specially for your needs and your training can begin.  This will include cardiovascular and resistance training exercises which will focus on a variety of areas such as strengthening, toning, endurance training, stamina, weight loss and flexibility.  In order to keep you comfortable and prevent injury you need two pieces of clothing that are vital to your workout; a good sports bra and a good pair of trainers.

There is no need to worry about your baby, they can watch while you workout. Your workout is personalised to you and we will make sure this includes your likes and dislikes; make it enjoyable, safe, challenging and most of all fun. We want you to gain the most from your workout so you can reach your goals.
